amta: your voice. your association. is a blog for members of the American
Massage Therapy Association to discuss how amta gives voice to members of the
massage therapy community.

These views and posted comments do not necessarily reflect those of the American Massage Therapy Association, its staff, board, volunteers or members. All content is provided for our users’ information and interest, and neither the bloggers nor
American Massage Therapy Association guarantee the accuracy, timeliness or completeness of the information provided.

COMMENT POLICY
We recognize that blogsare an open forum for self-expression and freedom of speech. We believe blogging increases communication and encourages healthy debate. We respect your right to comment honestly on our posts, and we believe censoring this content
is contrary to the purpose of a forum that is based on open expression. However, we do reserve the right to delete any and all comments that include what we consider to be abuses of the blog, inappropriate content and/or counterproductive to the purpose of the blog.

Spam
Includes, but is not limited to, comments that attempt to utilize this blog to promote another service or product. In addition, do not post links that will lead our users to pages that will transmit viruses, cause pop-ups, install malware, etc.

Competitive abuse
Includes, but is not limited to, persons that are intentionally misleading other users or inciting negative responses for the purpose of promoting a competitive company’s service.

Impersonating others
Includes, but is not limited to, persons that are purposely misleading other users by pretending to be someone else, pretending to be affiliated with an organization or pretending to be an unaffiliated individual.

Offensive content
Includes, but is not limited to profanity, references to sex/nudity, pictures of violence, child exploitation, etc.

Violence
Includes, but is not limited to comments that threaten the bloggers, the readers and other people or groups.

Hate speech
Includes, but is not limited to comments that promote hate or violence to specific groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, or sexual orientation/gender identity

Illegal activities
Includes, but is not limited to comments that promote illegal activities. (i.e. drug use, drinking and driving, etc.)

Copyright infringement
Includes, but is not limited to, any comments or links that infringe upon copyrighted material, including links to unauthorized content.

Personal and confidential information
Includes, but is not limited to, publishing someone else’s personal information. This includes unlisted phone numbers, addresses, credit card numbers, etc.

PERMISSION POLICY

Any and all comments posted on the amta: your voice. your association blog may be reused and republished in whole or in part, individually or in connection with other material in any and all media now or hereafter known, including, but not limited to the internet, promotion, art, editorial and advertising, without restriction as to alteration.

By reading and/or commenting on this blog, readers release and discharge AMTA from any and all claims and demands that may arise out of or in connection with the future use of comments, photographs, videos or other content posted, including without limitation any and all claims for libel or violation of any right of publicity or privacy.

AMTA Prize Policy

Only American Massage Therapy Association® (AMTA) members are eligible to win a prize through the amta: your voice. your association blog. Comments must be submitted with a correct name and email address to win. The eligible amount of winners will be indicated on the post. Winners will be contacted via email at the address given with the submission. Once contacted, the winner has 72 hours to respond or they will be disqualified. A new winner will not be chosen.
